We have various types of Mobile Phone Ads you can choose from.
Each has their own features and could be “Mixed and Matched” to suit any size of campaign.
Not only do we have examples of Ads but also some of the creative solutions that the Ads can link to. First up lets look at the Basic Text Ad.
Text Ads
Basic Text Ad
The basic Text Ad for smartphones use 35 characters and an icon. The Ad is normally placed at the top of the screen and is white text on a black glossy background.
Once clicked, the Ad can be coded to direct a user to a website, a mobile minisite, a Video, a Mobile application or even an iTunes download.
“Click to Call” Text Ad
Clicking on this type of Text Ad will utilise the mobile phones call function and call your chosen number. We do not accept premium rate numbers for this kind of advertising. Your number must be a landline or a freecall number.
These are the quickest type of Ads to set up so if you have an urgent promotion that you need to give a quick boost we can normally set this type of Ad up in a couple of hours.
Banner Ads
Banner Ads are better to use than Text Ads as you are not really limited to the amount of characters you can use and you can also add your company branding.
Branding Banner Ad
The Branding Banner Ad is simply an Ad (300 pixels by 50 pixels) that is there purely to spread the name of your company or brand. There is no interactive features of this Ad.
“Click to Call” Banner
Yep, you guessed it, click the Ad and it will be a direct call to your sales team.
Banner to Creative
Click on the Banner Ad and it will take you to a website, a mobile minisite, a Video, a Mobile application or even an iTunes download. The possibilities are endless.
Creative Solutions
Here we list some creative solutions you can use to fully utilise the mobile platform. Obviously placing an Ad is just the start. This Ad can be linked to a mobile optimised minisite that can do a lot more then just capture DIRECT sales calls.
One small problem with “Click to Call” Ads is that with some types of company you need to give the potential customer more information before they decide to call you.
For instance if you run a pizza takeaway then “Click to Call” is ideal as you can run promotions like “Dont forget it’s 2 for 1 Tuesday at pizzaland, click to order”. If you are an Accountant you may want to direct the potential customer to a mini-site that shows a map where you are in town, lists you credentials, other clients etc and then have a button at the bottom that the customer can press to call you.
Ad Linked to Mobile Optimised Mini-site.
Mobile Optimised sites are by far the best way to give your potential customer all the information required to make the decision to call you. Not only information about your company or products but you can also capture information about the customer for follow up campaigns.
Here is a small selection of creative solutions that you can try.
- Company information text box
- Product/promotion/servcie text box
- Testimonials text box
- Location Map
- “Click to Call” Button
- “Click to Call Back” field
- “Click to SMS” field
- Email address capture
- Video Sales Message
- Audio Sales Message
(We do not recommend you use all the boxes or design as depicted on the image on an actual site, this is just for example purposes)
In fact there is very little we cannot do on a Mobile Optimised Site that you can do on a full web based site.
Mobile Optimised Sites can be just 1 page or multiple pages. One of the ways we like to use this feature is build a home page with sales information and “click to call” button or email capture and then add another page (navigated by the buttons on the top of the screen) with a map, address and directions information.
Another big benefit of Ad linked Mobile Optimised Sites is the potential customer can bookmark it or add it to their main mobile screen for reference at a later date.
If you have a Mobile Optimised Site then we can easily link that up to an Ad. If you do not one of the services DigitalSpace Marketing offer is complete site builds from 1 to 10 pages.
Ad linked to Mobile App in AppStore, Android Market or Nokia Ovi store
If you have already have an App in that has been accepted by an app Store why not send people straight to that App.
Ad linked to Sales Video
Smartphones are truly a multimedia tool. They come with built in Audio and Visual technology which means you can link your You Tube Sales videos to Mobile Ads. You can explain so much more in videos and convey enthusiasm and passion that you just cannot capture in words.
Ad linked to Promotion Offer
Have a promotion or coupon code you want to use. We can place QR Codes or generate Coupon codes to use with your Ad campaigns.
Incentives work on all kinds of Advertising platforms but with mobile they are portable. Everyone takes their phone with them everywhere they go, so no more printing flyers or cutting out coupons from newspapers. Promotion codes can be placed straight on mobile phones so your customers have the code with them at all times.
In the US where Local Mobile Advertising is commonplace this is the kind of creative solution that has the highest response rate. Provide a great looking Banner Ad to drive people to your mini-site page and the buzz created around using your phone to get products and services for less gives any campaign a boost.
Ad linked to normal Website
We do not recommend this option in general as websites are built for the web and not that suitable for mobile. Users will have to keep resizing the screen to zoom in and out to make it readable or to be able to navigate. We list it here as an option for some clients as a few company websites we have come across are smaller and do render OK on mobile.
